A research project for the evidence-based medical continuing education

Aims

Progetto ECCE, funded by Italian Ministry of Health and Italian Medicines Agency, is based on Clinical Evidence's contents and addressed to all doctors, especially general practitioners.

Educational format

The course is designed in a case history format to create a learning system in which new knowledge can be immediately transferred into clinical practice. With this kind of approach, continuing medical education involves problem-solving skills, not just factual knowledge gain, according to modern adult learning theories.

Simple use

The system is user-friendly and only requires access to a personal computer and a simple Internet connection. It's not necessary to have highly technological equipment, like a broad-band or satellite Internet connection.
